Baton Rouge Recording Studio.

Gary Baker (Left), Phil Settle (Middle) and I (Right) recently collaborating on a new project in Gary’s Muscle Shoal’s studio.

My music career started 35 years ago playing the club circuit in Niagara Falls and Western New York. Buddy Brundo, owner of Conway Studio in Los Angeles, recorded my first single at age 13.

Gary Baker, Phil Settle, and myself signed a recording contract with Bill Evans, the owner of Studio in the Country in Bogalusa, Louisiana. Steve Hodge engineered and produced two albums of material, but we failed to get a record deal.

Several months later, Steve Nathan, one of the finest piano players in the country came down from New York to join the band and tour the South with us.

I then moved to Nashville in 1975 to work with Lynn Peterzel at Woodlawn Studio. After a few years, getting married, and the birth of my first child; I put my music dreams on hold and went to work for CompUSA computer stores.

In 1999, I had the opportunity to once again pursue my dreams on a full-time basis. I opened a project studio in San Antonio, Texas; where I worked with local musicians and songwriters.

When my wife was transferred to Baton Rouge, I moved my studio to its current bigger and better location. The move gave me an opportunity to fix all the things I wish I had done differently in San Antonio.

My strengths are arranging and engineering. However, I’m also an experienced drummer, guitar, bass, and keyboard player. Since I’m a musician too, you can feel comfortable that I speak your language. Who am I? I'm Tim Kneeppel and I'm ready to make your music dreams come to life.
